Jewish End-of-Life Beliefs and Traditions

We’re excited to inform you about a new program for teens between the ages of 12 and 18.

Calgary Jewish Federation and Jewish Family Service are collaborating on a program to educate young Jewish teens, grades 7-12, about the Jewish values related to Bikur Cholim (visiting Jewish community members who are frail, ill or disabled) and Jewish end-of-life beliefs and traditions. One of the goals of the program is to encourage teens to undertake Bikur Cholim projects in the Jewish community, either individually or in groups. There are two workshops scheduled for the fall.

Please check our Events section for detailed information about the workshops.

If you have any questions, please contact Sari Shernofsky at sari.shernofsky@shaw.ca or 403-251-6507. We also encourage parents with questions or concerns to call or email.
